Ladies and Gentlemen, on the cover page of the Algoa Toastmasters programme it reads the following: “Make Tonight Matter”

These are words that our President Reinhardt Botha always reminds us of, and this is what the club offers at every meeting.

Toastmaster of the Day: Zikhona Mfingwana did a sterling job as Toastmaster of the Day and shared rights of people with disabilities through the meeting.

Table Topics: Emmy Nxayeka conducted great table topics.


Prepared Speeches

1.     CC1 The Icebreaker: Congratulations and well done Primrose Nyiki for delivering your Ice Breaker speech titled “Primrose Thee Speaker” Your goal has always been to become a better version of yourself and tonight you did exactly that. Speech was Evaluated by Zanele Hartmann

2.     CC2 Organise Your Speech:  Well done Malibongwe Nombande the man with the commanding voice with your speech titled “’How Much Is Enough”. Speech was evaluated by Mimi Makupula

3.     CC3 Get To The Point: Firstly, welcome back and congratulations Natalie van Aardt with your speech titled “Beer Appreciation” well done on the catchy title and interesting presentation. Speech evaluated by Marianah Lourens

4.     CC5 Your Body Speaks: Well done Angela Rogers, perfect Duracell Bunny for always motivating us, we enjoyed your speech titled “Surviving Teenagers”. Speech evaluated by Marlene Vosloo

As Tom Horne mentioned this evening “at Toastmasters we learn through moments of enjoyment and tonight was no different. The following Toastmasters contributed to the learning:

Reinhardt Botha (taught us about service appreciation, Toast) Angie Kivido (taught us about time, Tiimer), Waven Korkie (taught us about verbal crutches, Um Ah Counter), Tom Horne (taught us about grammatical errors, Grammarian) and Belita von Steiger (taught us the meeting as a whole, as General Evaluator).
